This season, Maqks has been in residence at BH Studios NYC — moving through the space, working in it, letting the room do what it does. Their practice lives at the crossing point of embodiment and radical self-acceptance: the body as argument, movement as method, presence as the whole point.

This week, they perform.

MAQKS F***S THE MAN (AS BEST HE CAN) is part performance, part music party, part philosophical provocation — earnest and absurd in equal measure. Is it serious? Yes. Is it stupid? Also yes. That tension is not a flaw in the work. It is the work.
